Eighteen Forever

I would want to be eighteen years old forever. Eighteen is a great age to be because you are still young and healthy, while being the most athletic you will ever be. I would love to be able to get drafted into the MLB at a young age because then you have more potential than others, and everybody is always best when they’re young. Imagine being eighteen forever and always being able to play the sport that you love without coming out of retirement. Another reason why I’d like to be eighteen forever is because I’d be able to drive around town and buy myself groceries, go to the park with my family, or even drive to my own baseball games. At eighteen years old you can make decisions on your own, while still being a kid. It would be a great experience to go to college as my parents told me it was a magnificent experience. If I do not end up being a baseball player I could start my own business and become an Orthodontist. These are a few reasons why I would like to be the age eighteen forever.

Living the Dream in Cooperstown, New York

I get on my plane ride, me and my family are ready to travel to Cooperstown in New York. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get a direct flight to Cooperstown, so instead we made a quick stop in Boston. We went and took pictures at Harvard University, way too many pictures. I’m pretty sure it was the most boring four hours of my life while driving to New York, but the drive was quite worth it. Once we got there I caught up with all of my friends on my baseball team and the fields were wonderful. The place was packed, and I mean it. There were around 80 different baseball teams, the kids were about double our size. I had a premonition about playing some of these teams. The first thing we did was the most boring thing at the field we ever did, pictures! We were clad in baseball pants and a very uncomfortable jersey. Here we go, our first game of the tournament. I gingerly told myself to calm down as I was getting overly excited. I remember feeling the smooth grass and touching the rigid wall. The moment has come, my first at bat. First pitch, I take it out. I am pumped and so are my teammates. I touch every base and the moment I touch home everyone goes crazy. I’ve gotten used to the idea of being here, the hot weather, the pouring rain, and the horrendous food. It’s only a few days until our time here is over. We get a lot done so fast, and before I know it it’s our last game in Cooperstown, New York. We take our last breath before walking off the field and say our last goodbyes. Though the trip is not over we will miss the field. When we leave we enjoy ice cream, go swimming, eat pizza, explore the forest, eat tacos, and stay up late. This was an amazing and memorable trip I won’t forget.

Rad Reading- September

In September I read the book Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan. The book Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters is about a thirteen year old boy named Percy trying to rescue his friend Grover and retrieve an item called the Golden Fleece to protect their camp, but in order to do this they must retrieve the Gold Fleece from a large Cyclops, that will consume practically any human it finds. As the son of Poseidon he decides to go on a long journey across the sea to save camp half blood, along with his friends Annabeth and Tyson.

I really enjoyed the book, for the most part it was full of suspense and something new always came. I like how although Percy was not chosen to go and retrieve the Golden Fleece, he still took charge and was determined to save the camp. The adventure to get to the cyclops was very difficult and they came across many challenges, such as facing insanely large sea monsters yet still got to where they needed to go.

Percy is by far my favorite character, I say this because he is the leader of the group and is trying to be positive. He wants to show everyone that he is the best Demi god, by retrieving the Golden Fleece. They came across many difficulties along the way such as crossing the Sea of Monsters. Percy stayed calm and believed in himself throughout the journey. I really like Percy because he is brave and protective. Percy is brave and I can prove this because in the book Percy says, “Tyson stay back.” I raised my sword. “I’m going in.” This shows how Percy was brave enough to get into a fight and protect his friends from danger, risking his life for his friends.

My favorite quote from Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters is When Hermes said, “My dear cousin, if there’s anything I learned from the eons it is that, you can’t give up on your family, no matter how tempting they make it.” This is significant because it gives the readers a lesson when reading the book, telling them that you can never give up on your family, he also reminds his cousin how important it is to not give up on his family no matter how tempting something is. I like this quote a lot since it is also a life lesson all readers could learn.

Living with a Superhero

I would love to live in the universe of the movie called Captain Underpants. I would love to be a student at the school with principal Krupp, also known as captain underpants. It would be amazing to have a principal that practically lets you do whatever you want. I’d be best friends with Harold and George. I’d spend time with Harold and George in their tree house and make many comic books about our one and only Captain Underpants! I would also be saving the day every now and then, having parties almost every night, and getting to be as lazy as I want every single day. Imagine being able to fly, well this is a daily thing I would do with captain underpants cape. I feel like it would be a marvelous experience to be able to fight off the villains and save the day for our local civilians. I would enjoy every moment in my new universe and have a blast!

Scrumptious Steak

The thought of my favorite meal makes my mouth water. Before I go to bed I have a delightful meal waiting for me on my table, before I can even see the meal I can smell the steak and hear it sizzling on the grill outside. My dad will bring in the juicy wonderful looking steak, and I start to drool. I get so excited as I immediately approach the steak, I almost drop the plate. It is so satisfying when I cut into the steak. While I go get the salt from the drawers, I can smell French fries and I start going crazy. Finally, I get to take a small bit of the steak as it enters my mouth I can feel the smooth but slightly rough texture, and each grain of salt. It is amazing, and I still haven’t eaten any of the fries yet. I take a bite of a few fries and I am satisfied. I finish up the whole piece of steak and all my fries, and grab a refreshing cup of water, which feels so refreshing after eating a salty meal. Later that night I can imagine myself still eating the steak, which was so delicious.

Mansion at the Beach

My dream home would be a modern mansion walking distance to Huntington Beach. In my modern mansion near the coast of Huntington Beach, I would enjoy my time in the spa in my front yard enjoying the view. After I enjoy my time in the spa I will go with my siblings and take a walk down to the beach, enjoy the cool air and catch a big wave while swimming. We will make s’mores when it gets dark and watch a movie in the mansion when we gets back. We will have a popcorn machine and enjoy the sweet popcorn while watching some of our favorite movies. I will have a ping pong table because it is one of my favorite activities to do when I’m bored, and after I destroy my brother in a few rounds, I will go outside where I will have a full basketball court and shoot some shots. Although it is dark, I will have lights above the full court so I can actually see when I shoot. In my room I will have a huge television and a king size bed to myself with a really nice view of the beach outside. On top of all this I will have a private chef to cook me my favorite meals such as steak and pizza!

Adventures in Honolulu, Hawaii

If I could travel anywhere on planet Earth it would be Honolulu, Hawaii. One thing I would love to do in Hawaii is go to the astonishing looking ocean at Waikiki Beach. I would love to feel the soft and smooth sand and catch a big wave while swimming. If it were possible I’d want to experience seeing a live ocean animal such as a sea turtle or even a dolphin! One thing I love about Waikiki Beach is that the temperature is always so perfect to take a dip in the ocean. Another thing I’d want to do in Hawaii is get shaved ice at Waiola’s Shaved Ice, my favorite flavor of shaved ice is all of them mixed together with a scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom. I eat my shaved ice at Waikiki Beach in the smooth sand savoring my shaved ice. One last thing I’d like to do in Hawaii is hike up DiamondBack Mountain which is an inactive volcano that has such a stunning sight. I would like to see a ton of wild life such as birds and possibly even monkeys. The hike is about thirty minutes up and thirty minutes down, the long hike is well worth it as you get a good exercise and get to see many green trees, and animals. This will be an awesome trip and very memorable.
