Principal for the Day

Mrs. Tanikawa is out sick and they have asked me to step in as principal for the day. All the kids at school today are in for a treat, because not only will I make this day a day they won’t forget but I will go down in history as the most favored principal ever. At exactly eight o’ clock in the morning there will be donuts being given away to all the kids that go to the school. Being a principal was not as easy as I thought, there were many phone calls and people getting in trouble throughout the day. Since I was bored I decided to visit some classes to see what they were up to, and of course it was just learning. Learning. Learning. Why is being a principal so boring. I felt pretty bad for the kids who have been working hard all day and decided to surprise them with early recess. The kids were so happy all having so much fun and this was what I loved to see. Eventually lunch time came around and I had an activity in mind, I hosted one on ones in basketball and if you score on me you get free tickets to the San Francisco 49ers game. The day eventually came to and end and I could tell the kids had a blast, but I wasn’t finished when school finally came to an end I gave out multiple flavors of ice cream. I’m sure this is a day many students wont forget.

Rad Reading- November

In November, I read the book The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S Lewis. This book is about four kids who were sent away to live with a professor. While they were playing a fun game of hide and seek the youngest of the four, Lucy enters a wardrobe into a mysterious land called Narnia. Her siblings did not believe her at first until they found out themselves.

I really liked this book because it is a thrilling book to read filled with adventure, but slight violence. They go into battle against an evil witch fighting along side different creatures. The book is always full of surprises and has a ton of action. Even through all this the siblings always stick together. I really recommend you read this book.

My favorite character in the book is Lucy. Although she is the youngest one she is the bravest and most adventurous out of the four kids. She never stops believing in Narnia, and always has faith. A quote that can prove Lucy is brave is ″‘Why, Sir,’ said Lucy. ‘I think – I don’t know – but I think I could be brave enough.‘” This shows that she is brave enough to go into battle. Although she is the smallest and the youngest she is still the bravest and most courageous.

My favorite quote from the book is when Lucy says, I’m not a dwarf! I’m a girl and actually I’m tallest in my class.” This shows that Lucy acts older than she really is, and she is proud of who she is. Another reason why I like this quote is because it is a humorous moment, this is a quote that most readers would enjoy as the author has a nice sense of humor.
